Reasons why the Quince Gown should be #1 on the list

Here are some good reasons why you should get your quince dress before any other thing like invitations, decorations, dama dress ect. The whole quinceanra theme revolves around YOUR dress. If for example you start with the dama dresses… what color are you going to chose? And if you chose a color for them… then YOU (the quince) have to get something that matches them.. It should be the other way around. If you think that you have decided on what color your dress is going to be… don’t be so certain. We’ve had many.. MANY girls come into our boutique with a certain color in mind and they leave with something entirely different. You just never know what you are going to like until you try on the gowns. You might just fall in love with something you never even thought you’d like. So think twice before getting anything before your dress. Also we have had customers that choose EVERYTHING before even considering the quince dress. So they run around town with a little swatch of material trying to match the dress to match the decorations. It is much easier to find decoration to match the dress than the other way around. Save yourself the trouble and stress and first focus on …. like I said The Quince gown first. Once you choose the dress everything will fall into place. The decorations, dama dresses, your bouquet, shoes, tiara, jewelry… you get the idea…. will be so much easier to chose. =)

Great Advice for Quinceaneras

Hi Girls!

Well I've always wanted to start up a blog for Quinceaneras! So, here is my attempt at starting one. Working at Bellissima Boutique and being around Quince Girls for over 5 years, I'd like to think has given me enough experience to at least give some basic advice to young girls searching for their gowns. I love fashion and I love uniqueness, which I think should go hand in hand when choosing your gown. The day of your Quinceanera isn't only to celebrate your next chapter in life as a young woman, but also to celebrate who you are. With this said, the one great way of showing of WHO you are is with your gown! NOTE: the dress is the MOST important thing in a Quince. You can't choose anything else until you choose your dress, not the invitations, not the DAMA dresses, not the table settings... NOTHING. (the only thing you can choose before choosing your dress is the dance hall) ... in my next post I will be going into detail why you should choose the dress before anything else and also how to go about looking for your dress.

Texas Citrus Fiesta 73rd Annual Coronation Night

A very special announcement must be made. On January 28, 2010 Miss Tyler Anne Zimmerman, the Duchess of Lemon, was honored with the title of Queen Citrianna the 74th! We are so proud of her! Congratulations to her and her family! It was an amazing night, not only did our Duchess of Lemon win this honorable title; but also Miss Christa Aranda, Duchess of Oleander, won a spot in the royal court as Lady-in-waiting. Bellissima had two big wins tonight and we are so proud of Tyler and Christa's accomplishments.


The gym was full of beautiful girls with gorgeous gowns. The dresses literally lit up the place as the duchesses walked under the run way lights.It was a wonderful first time experience attending this great event. We were able to share our joy and happiness with the two winners.

The 73rd Annual Coronation of Queen Citrianna and King Citrus will be Thursday, January 28, 2010. This will be Bellissima's first time attending (tickets were provided by Mrs Zimmerman, many thanks to you and your daughter), and we will be keeping our fingers crossed that our beautiful Duchess of Lemon, Tyler Zimmerman, will win. She bought her dress with us and we customized it, it turned out BEAUTIFUL! We also had Duchess of Bluebonnet, Magdalen Acosta, and Duchess of Oleander, Christa Aranda, purchase their gowns with us. The best of luck to all our Duchesses, we will see you at the Coronation.

Hi there!

This is Bellissima's first post ever. But we're making it a good one. We're announcing Bellissima's 2nd year anniversary! February 2nd to be exact, we will be celebrating our 2nd year in business. (Although the owners have been in the industry for over 15 years.) Lets not discredit the experience and knowledge that Bellissima has inherited. =) To celebrate our two year mark, we will be having a great promotion for our Quinceaneras and for our costumers looking early for their prom dresses or simply just looking for a great gown for a special occasion we will be having a great sale on our party dresses too.
